Comicpaloooooooooza
Gonna (try to) keep this short and sweet:

I’m attending a comic convention in my city next weekend [May27-29th] called Comicpalooza. I am ridiculously excited. Terrance Zdunich, the writer/creator of Repo! The Genetic Opera and actor who played Graverobber in the aforementioned film will be in attendance. As well as Sean Maher of Firefly (Simon Tam), and Sam Trammell of TrueBlood (Sam Merlotte). I will be attending all three days and for Friday I am going to reprise my Amber Sweet costume from Halloween (with some revisions), and in addition to that on Saturday I will be debuting my rendition of Marvel’s Black Widow (original costume, not ScarJo’s Iron Man 2 outfit), and on Sunday I will most likely go casual, possibly with a Merlotte’s t-shirt if I can find one locally.

Originally I was just going to toss together some stuff and only do Black Widow (a shoddy version) but then I got into my “if I’m going to do it at all I might as well do it right” and so I ordered some stuff online and committed to a more true to form costume. And then, by happenstance, I heard that Terrance Zdunich was going to attend and once I confirmed it on the convention website I had a moment of severe fangirling and by that time it was pretty much decided I couldn’t not do Amber Sweet. And since I made the promise on Terrance’s FB page I now owe him cookies, or cupcakes, I haven’t decided yet. But some articles of that costume need to be modified and/or replaced entirely (like the wig, ick) so I’m hoping to handle all of that in the following week as well as find time to do homework and somewhere in there I have to work too. Gonna be a busy week.
