Narcissistic Drama Queen

Mindless narcissistic reflections.

It’s mah eyeball! Taken by my friend Nathan (and from his Tumblr) during our spontanenous visit to Kemah.
And me wearing my brand new MAC Expensive Pink eyeshadow, that cost me about $15 ~_~, but isn’t it preeeetty?! It’s not really pink, it’s more of a bronzy pink and I usually don’t spend $15 on eyeshadow because I’m typically a frugal person. BUUUT, I happened by the MAC store in The Galleria and I didn’t know they actually had a store, soooo, I may have splurged a bit. I’ve only recently become completely invested/obsessed with makeup, but I’ve been quietly yearning for MAC cosmetics for the last three years now, ever since I got a “makeover” in Macy’s on my seventeenth birthday with aforementioned cosmetics. And in that regard I have no bloody idea what the make-up artist doing my makeover was thinking, because I’m very fair-skinned and the concealer/foundation/powder/wtf-ever she put on my face was considerably darker and more orange than my natural skintone. But I still love MAC, even if the make-up artist I had wasn’t…very good, unfortunately MAC is so bloody expensive. Though worth it, very good quality, highly pigmented, wonderful hues. I want a MAC palette so bad it almost HURTS.
Instead I purchased a collapsible palette from Sephora, because I want to practice some fun costume-y looks with something cheaper so I’ll know what kinds of colors I’ll want and use should I choose to actually get a MAC palette sometime in the future. Added bonus of makeup experience: if I know how to do it myself I won’t have to hire a make-up artist when I’m doing fashion photoshoots for my portfolio. YouTube tutorials help so much. I’m not a novice when it comes to makeup, I’ve had a lot of fun playing around and practicing with my own but I don’t really wear it every day because I don’t have the patience. Plus, it’s always more fun doing it on other people. However, I’m going to have a ton of fun doing my makeup for my Amber Sweet costume.
   Speaking of….
   18 DAYS UNTIL HALLOWEEN!
No particular reason I’m making that statement now, but I’m gonna start the countdown. I might even do something wacky like try to post a blog entry every day until then, buuuut I’m not gonna hold my breath on that one.
.
Until next time, enjoy lookin’ at my eyeball!
